It's a tie!

So in this past week's show down, we actually had more than one person vote! (Woohoo! It's growing!) But also there wasn't a winner this time. The voting ended in a perfect tie. So I flipped a coin as well as announced next week's match-up in this video. But if you'd rather just read about it than listen to me talk for two minutes, then read on my friend!

The coin flip landed in favor of the mutants. So mutants beat out aliens and are moving on. Moving forward I still want you to get more people to vote. It might seem weird to ask your friends about but it could definitely lead to some fun conversations. I'm recruiting my friends to vote too so maybe you could give a guy a hand...pretty please? With lots of sugar?

.....thanks! You're the best!

Now for this weeks match-up. This one is between two entities that are extremely similar, so I expect it to be a close race. This week is Cyborgs vs. Robots!

Let the battle commence!

Thanks so much for reading! I'll see you all next time! BYYEEE!

The Game of Life

I was joking around with my kid brother today and made some stupid comment that was like something I'd do in a video game commentary video, and he told me to stop acting like everything is a game. It makes sense, at some point everyone needs to grow up and stop playing games.

....NOT!

The truth of the matter is that those "mature" people that take everything so seriously are still playing games. They're just not winning.

Everything is a game when you look at it from the right point of view, even life. In life you have different levels (childhood, school, college, work, etc.) and bosses (bullies, homework or grades, your actual boss, etc.) and the only way to win is to realize it's all a game and to just have fun. Enjoy playing your game, try to level up your character as highly as possible, but just like any game, you must never take it too seriously. Just relax and have fun, don't be a screaming noob.

Okay I think that about fills my seriousness quota for the year so thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed my ramblings, and I will see you next time! Byee!!

G mod. I'm too tired for this..

No clever title for this one. I blame exhaustion.

Anywhoodles, I finally downloaded G-Mod and it is the most awesome game ever! Especially sandbox mode.

That's it. If any of you have G-Mod I'd love to play with you guys. Or any other games. Feel free to talk to me and I'd love to play online with you!

This has been another game review (it shouldn't really count though) thanks for reading and I'll see you next time! BUY (MY BOOK)

Monday Madness Update

So once again, only one person voted, and that one person decided that blood suckers were better than brain eaters. So to that one person, thank you for breaking the stalemate. At least we haven't had one that ended in a tie yet. So at least we have that.

However, moving forward I will have homework for you. I don't just want you to vote, I want you to get your friends to vote, your family to vote, even you pets to vote! (Maybe, I dunno how that'd work) Figure it out! I want more interaction with you but you need to contribute too.

Also sorry about being kinda like a ghost the past few days, I've just been so busy. I won't go into detail here but if you're that interested, I posted a video explaining everything and also intriducing this week's face off.

So now, without further ado (for those of you who didn't go to the video to hear what the face off for this week is) this week's challengers are.....

......Mutants!
ANNNDDDDD.....
....Aliens!

As always think of this however you want, it is completely up to you, and choose! Thanks for reading, thanks for voting (I hope) and I'll see you next time! Byyeee!!

Bad decisions make good games?

So as usual I'm very late. It's not even Thursday for me anymore. It's officially Friday. Be that as it may, I'm still counting this as my Thursday post!
...unless I don't find anything to write on Friday, then this is my Friday post and screw Thursday, someone erased Thursday from my calendar.

So I finally found some free time at college today to download and play a game of of Gamejolt. And I picked the game I did for a very specific reason. The title seemed to just call out to me because it sounded like such a bad idea. The game's title is "Follow the Darkness." As far as I've ever seen, following the darkness will only ever lead to your doom so this seemed like a necessary game for me to try out.

Made with RPGmaker (which I have dabbled with lightly in the past) it's a very simple, straightforward game. The scenery seems to have a lot of detail, but the game just gives you everything as far as I've seen so far. The story is point to point, with no secret bits to find or any kinda special treats for exploring your environment.

Also when you start the game, be ready to read a lot. the first 12 to 15 minutes are mostly dialogue. I understand it's needed to give the story a foundation to build off of, but come on! 15 minutes of talking in a game? It just seems a little ridiculous to me.

Anyway, I can't really give a review on the full entire game cause I haven't played all the way through at the moment. The website said the average time to play through was about an hour and I've only played through roughly 40 minutes of it, but it does seem like a good game (aside from being excessively chatty) so if you're bored, maybe you should check this game out.

Well this has been another Mythical Review. Thanks for reading again, and I'll see you all next time! Stay awesome everyone!

Game Jolt and other stuff.

More of to make up for lack of content than anything else, I'm just gonna give you a quick update on everything.

This week's been a scramble for me. Super busy between school, work, family, my YouTube channel, and this. But I'm still having lots of fun. So I'm hoping to get caught up on everything within the next few days.

I recently found and registered to gamejolt (weird, you'd think I'd have known about this place beforehand) and it is the best place ever! I love it and I can't wait to actually try some of the games from there out! Having dabbled in game development a bit myself, I really look forward to seeing what the indie community is gonna throw at me!

So yeah, that's about it...busy..catching up...getting back to gaming soon.

....yeaahhhh...

...you're still here? That's it. I'm done
...
...
...oh! I forgot to do the thing! Okay now I get it.
This has been MythOfAchilles with a random update! Thanks for reading, and stay awesome! Now get outta here! (Or stay. I got some fun stuff here.)

Forge Fiasco

Well this is another review. I'm having trouble finding time to research for any of my other projects, but don't worry. They're in the works.

But along with this lack of time for research comes the lack of time for gaming. So unfortunately I'm not even technically reviewing a full game today. This "review" is more of a rant about how much I don't really like Minecraft Forge.

Forge is supposed to be an easy way to plug and play with add-ons to Minecraft. So I figured I'd try a few mods and review them and also use those mods for some YouTube videos. You know, kill two birds with one stone. But after two and a half days of trying to figure it out, I just can't. Some of it was my fault, and some of it wasn't.

When I first installed Forge, I accidentally installed the most recent iteration of Forge. This was my own fault for why it didn't work because none of the mods were made to work with the most recent version, but rather for the version before. So that explains that. After I realized that mistake I did what makes sense to do. I installed the correct version of Forge for the mods.

Then it stopped working. I tried opening Minecraft with this version of Forge and it wouldn't even open. At least with the newest version of Forge, Minecraft worked. And I've been trying to figure out how to make it work since Sunday. So I dunno what to say. I guess I've just about given up at this point. So that's my feelings on Minecraft Forge. It's a great concept, but it sucks. Probably just for me though.

Well this has kinda been another Mythical Review. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time! Stay awesome!

Monday Showdown

So last week was a bit lackluster. We only had one person vote. But thank you to that one person! You decided that ninjas were more awesome than pirates!

Now for this week's showdown. You get to decide between Vampires and Zombies! Again, think of this however you want! Just vote please!

Thanks for reading and I'll see you all next time! Stay awesome!!

I'm really bad at this...

So I don't actually have any content to post today...

:( I'm really sorry again, I'm bad at this!
...HEY! Don't call me mean names! I don't see you offering any help. This is a lot of work for one person!
No, no. Don't offer help now. It's too late for that.

...now that I got that out of my system, here's why I don't have any content. I've been researching this theory I have about Five Nights (I know...but wait! This one's real good!)

So, instead of an analysis or review, today I'll give you a teaser on my theory. If my theory is right, we'll learn who was bitten in 1987, who Jeremy and Mike are, and we'll lose a character from the roster of characters. Again, that's only IF I'm right. I still don't have all the facts, so we'll see.

In other news, I have a video blog game analysis thing planned out that's actually NOT about Five Nights (WOOHOO! Took me long enough) And I'm looking forward to delving into the world of The Legend of Zelda!

So yeah, that's my quick update for today. I have nothing else to say so thanks so much for reading, and I'll see you next time! Stay awesome everybody!

Obviously I'm afraid of Flies

Okay, I'm not really afraid of flies. But you play someone who is in this next game, "Fly in the House"

I found this one on Steam as well, noticing a pattern yet? Yeah, I play a lot of games from Steam. Oh well, it's a great place to find games.

Anyway, the entire point of this game is to f*** s***  up. (I only censored because I forgot if I censored my other posts or not. If I haven't or if I haven't cursed yet, then from now on I'm not censoring unless it's requested)

At the beginning of the game you're told a short story about how you're getting home from years abroad when you're rudely interrupted by an annoying buzzing sound. Behold! The majestic fly! It has taken abode in you house while you have been away.

Unfortunately, you're also either completely psych bonkers, or you don't own a fly swatter. Maybe a mix of both..who knows? But now it has become your sole mission to kill this poor fly, using whatever you can, including (but not limited to) wine bottles, sofa pillows, frying pans, and flat screen televisions.

In the process of killing said fly, you also probably messed up your apartment really badly. But who really cares, you got that annoying fly!! So that goes down as a win in your books!

This is both a great stress relieving, and a stress inducing game. The controls are a bit wonky, in the sense they don't always do what you want them to. You move using the standard WASD setup and jump with Space, and you look around with the move and pick thing's up/"throw them" using the mouse. The quotation marks there are supposed to make that extremely sarcastic. When you throw an object using the mouse click, it's like the person has the arm strength of your common field mouse. Or maybe a door jam..I can't tell. But not, to actually throw things with any real momentum, you need to slide your mouse so the player spins, and the object he's holding is forcibly ripped from his hands. So it's interesting to try to aim at the fly.

Right now, I'm not sure how I would rate this game. It is a lot of fun, but I can't really figure out how one progresses through the different levels, but that might just be me being stupid. For ten bucks, at the moment I can't say whether or not it's worth it. At $5 I'd say yes it was definitely worth it, but $10 is a different story. Once I can figure out how to advance through the levels, I'll probably say that it's worth it.

This had been another Mythical Review! Thanks for reading, and I'll see you next time!

..now excuse me, gotta kill this spider.

.......I got it!

Grimm News

No, that's not a typo. I meant to spell Grimm. As in the Grimm brother's the original writer's of many of the fairy tales we know and love. Except that when the Grimm brothers wrote them, they weren't as happy as we know them to be. That's an important fact to remember for this one.

Hello everybody and welcome to another Mythical Review! Today we're taking a look at another free game (I'm a cheap bastard, sue me) called Grimm. The premise of this game is that one of the two Grimm brothers is teleported into the world of his stories, but as they are now. Not the dark, twisted version that he helped write. And obviously he's not very happy that, and I wouldn't be either! That's like someone rewriting my blog, but making it completely serious!

Through the game, you're playing as this Grimm brother (although I nicknamed him the smelly dwarf) and you're trying to ruin all the happy gooey-ness and bring the story back to it's original version. And you do this by walking around, making things "smelly," "stinky," "nasty," "putrid," etc. etc.

The game play itself is pretty entertaining, because there's a lot of ambiance and such from NPC characters and even yourself, so it's not like you're sitting there in silence. Plus there are a lot of funny things that are said by everyone, either just randomly or situationally. (One level was at a school playground and the kids would run from the Smelly Dwarf shouting "The smelly man is back!")

However, it can get pretty dark. There are people that are hanged, and a man that is burned, all for the story line. There is also a light amount of blood content, although not realistic blood, so make sure you're prepared if you decide to play it.

Overall, although it is a sinister game, it won me over with it's silliness so I would recommend trying this game out yourself. Who knows, you might learn some things about your favorite story at the same time.

This has been another Mythical Review. Thanks again for reading, and stay awesome!

100 Page views. Achievement and Announcement.

So I decided late last night what I'm going to do to celebrate 100 page views. And then I got a big surprise this morning because I actually had 100 page views! So it looks like I'm celebrating today, even though I may not be totally ready. But oh well! I'll finish everything on the move.

What I'm doing to celebrate 100 page views is I'm officially launching Myth Of Achilles, the YouTube channel! My first video is being uploaded now as I type this and I'm really excited for this. So far I've had a lot of fun blogging and sharing everything with you guys for the past few weeks and now I can actually say that I'm sharing even more because I'm sharing my game play footage on YouTube now!

I'm definitely still planning on blogging though so make sure to pop in here every now and again to see what's new here. Quite honestly, I'll probably update this page more than I'll upload at the moment mainly due to lack of time to record. But I'll figure it all out!

Thanks for reading, and as always I'll see you next time! Keep smiling!

....oh and if you're interested, here's the link to my video. It's nothing spectacular, but I found it fun.

Lax Day

So today didn't really go as I expected. I wanted to get up early and play a few games, and also do some more research into the next in-depth post I've been working on.

Now I have two bits of bad news. The first is that the in-depth analysis I've been working on is another Five Nights' one.
...I know, I know. I can hear you all groaning, and I think there were three of you in the back that cheered.
I understand that I've been doing a lot about this one game series, but I haven't really figured out what else to research. Feel free to give me ideas. I'm open to anything.

The second bit of bad news is that I ended up sleeping in until I had to leave for work so I didn't get a chance to do any work for my blog or my YouTube channel I'm starting in the near future.

Pretty much all I'm posting today, instead of game stuff, is an excuse for why I don't have game stuff. And a lame one at that. So I hope you'll forgive me. Hopefully I'll have something good for tomorrow.

Well thanks for reading and accepting my lame ass excuse. And I'll see you next time!

Dismount Disaster

I'm gonna admit, I did something bad...I recorded my first video in poor conditions, especially since I have a sore throat. But you know what? I don't care! And even better, I got a game review out of it!

Turbo Dismount is a physics based game where you try to kill the main character (I called him Tim Tim) by sending him into traffic, or off cliffs, or skyrocketing, or into minefields, or so many other ways. There are a variety of vehicles that you can do this in, from skateboards, to sports cars, to construction equipment.

It's a fun game to do commentary on. That is definitely true, but if you're not planning on doing any commentary then it's probably best to grab a friend to play with, just like what I said for Spore. You can some up with so many hilarious scenarios to put poor Tim Tim through, and they're all hilarious.

For only 10 dollars I definitely say that this game is worth it to buy. It's available on steam for $10, or actually it's also available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for free. ("Free" since you gotta pay to unlock certain vehicles and levels) but it's definitely loads of fun, so maybe you should go check it out.

This has been another Mythical Review, thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!

I'm an idiot, and other announcements.

Okay so the screen recording software I was looking for ended up not being as expensive as I thought. I made a mistake in the conversion machine on google and thought it cost $300-$500. But no! I made a huge mistake. It actually ended up being only $30...sooo yeah I'm an idiot.

That means I can start recording soon! ..Once this sore throat goes away. Don't worry. It's not contagious, through the computer at least. So you're safe. Any one around me, no so much. Mwahahaha!

So my plan of action is to have my first videos be montages of games like Turbo Dismount and Happy Wheels, but also not Happy Wheels because I don't like that game and it seems to be losing popularity.

Then after a few montage videos I'll actually start on "Play Through's." And I'm still planning to keep blogging so keep popping in here every now and again to see what's new.

I'll make an announcement when my channel officially goes up.

In other news, my page is almost at 100 pageviews (not followers, that I have 1 of officially) and I wanna do something special once it hits 100. I'm not quite sure what, but I definitely wanna do something.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to entertaining you! Stay awesome, and I'll see you next time!

Monday Showdown!

I'm bored so I decided to make a game for us! A showdown where you decide the winner. I've set up a secretive bracket and we're gonna have a showdown every Monday to figure out who the best of the best is, and at the end I'll post a picture of the finished bracket.

So without any further ado I will announce this week's showdown and talk about voting.

This week the showdown is:

Think of it however you want, who would win in a fight, or simply which is more awesome, or just which one you like more.

VOTING INFO!
There will be only one method of voting, and that is a Question Poll that will be at the top of my blog and I will change the question every Monday to update for the new showdown and announce the previous winner.

...Okay...I think that's about it. Any questions, about this or anything in general feel free to email me or contact me on instagram!

Get voting, and I'll see you next time!

Ninja-B-Gone

Are you tired of those pesky ninjas hiding in your house and throwing wild parties as soon as you leave, or even go to the bathroom? Well download this game and you can strike enough fear into their ninja hearts and they'll run, crying for their mommies.

....either that or it'll just annoy them until they leave you alone. One or the other. Either way you get rid of your ninja problem!

The game that I speak of is One Finger Death Punch, not to be confused with Five Finger Death Punch. One is a metal band and the other is a rockin' game!

For five dollars on steam you can get perhaps one of the most fun game I have ever played as of right now. It is the best stress reliever! And I haven't even really touched that much of the campaign yet. I've mainly been playing survival but it is so fun!

Pretty much you're a stick man fighting other stick men, and you use the left and right mouse buttons to attach in one direction or the other. You can also pick up enemy weapons which will extend your attack range a little. And the finally surprise is there are "Brawlers" which when you attack, you're given a pattern on-screen to follow with the mouse buttons which reminds me of guitar hero.

Playing this game is by far one of the best times I've had playing a video game. So if you have five dollars to spare, I would completely recommend going and checking this out! Now excuse me, I gotta go back to beating up two-dimensional figures.

This has been another Mythical Review, thanks for reading and I'll see you next time! Peace out!

Boring Man - Online Tactical Stickman Combat

I figured this one didn't even need a clever name to talk about. It's already so silly.

Hello and welcome to another Mythical Review! Today we raid Steam's free-to-play list and play a game with a ridiculous name and a funny acronym. BM-OTSC. Let's go!

So I've played it for roughly two and a half hours today and can easily say this is a funny but not really a good game.

It's got a lot of ridiculous quirks but nothing that makes it work as an actual game in my opinion. It is supposed to be a multiplayer shooter game. But the multiplayer capabilities are very limited. There weren't very many online servers, and those that there were were all already full so it seems to be more private than not.

So instead, I hosted an online server and made sure there was plenty of room for other players to join, but I added a handful of A.I. characters just to make sure I could actually play. The entire time I was playing, not one single person joined my server. I made it public and left lots of room, so either the game isn't popular enough for that, or there's a problem with the multiplayer capabilities.

Also, while game play at times was fun, it was also very confusing because the game would have you doing four things at once with only one hand able to hit keys. So overall I don't think this is a game I would recommend to any of my friends.

Well this has been another Mythical Review, thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!

It was still Foxy

I don't wanna come off as rude so let me start of by saying thank you for arguing with me. Sincerely, thank you! I want to interact with you people, especially when I'm spouting theories. So thank you for arguing with me, but you didn't change my mind, and here's why.

Your argument was that Foxy and all of the old animatronics would have been in the parts/services room and wouldn't have been let out. This does make sense since these animatronics were taken out of public use and were used for parts after retrofitting them with some of the newer technology.

However, just because they were pushed aside doesn't mean they have to follow the rules. Here's a transcript of Phone Guy telling you that because they're the older models that they shouldn't be able to walk around. Obviously they can since they are characters that continuously try to get to you. So they get out of the parts/services room at night, who's to say that Foxy didn't get out during the day at one point and bit someone's head? So I still say that this is the most likely scenario.

I'm sorry for another day of Five Nights, I really wanted to do another review today, but I had no time to test any game and right now, it's 1:08am so I'm just using this since I already had it all ready to go. I'm getting tired of Five Nights, I'm still planning on solving the entire thing outright, but I need a break. So either tomorrow, or most likely the next day (I might disappear tomorrow due to a busy schedule but I'll try not to!) anyway one day or the other I'll hopefully have another game review, hopefully something relaxing, that won't give me nightmares. (Even though this hasn't really given me any nightmares.)

Anyway this has been another in-depth game analysis, though not as deep as usual. Thanks for reading, I'm going to sleep now so I'll see you all next time!

The Bite of '87..Who dunnit?

Hello and welcome to another in depth analysis of the Five Nights at Freddy's games. This time I focus on the infamous Bite of '87. It was never blatantly stated who the culprit actually was but there was enough info given for us to figure out who did it.

And in the end....the butler did it!!
I'm sorry..I just really wanted to say that. I actually wasn't the butler. There isn't even a butler to have done it. But there is a pirate who certainly seems guilty..

We're first introduced to the Bite of '87 in the first Five Nights by the Phone Guy.
The fact that it happened while the animatronics were allowed to walk around during the day points to the idea that the Bite occurs during the week that Five Nights 2 takes place.

So based on this knowledge we have a rough list of suspects who could be the culprit. Any of the characters from Five Nights 2, listed below.

Now we have ten suspects as to who it could be, now to narrow them down.

It's fairly obvious that it couldn't have been Bonnie, being that Bonnie is missing an upper jaw, and for a similar reason we can eliminate Chica since it appears that Chica's mouth is frozen open, which would take away any biting ability. Similarly, Balloon Bit....Balloon Boy's mouth is too small to bite into someone's head.

That leaves us with seven possibly culprits, Freddy, Foxy, any of the Toy characters, Mangle, and Golden Freddy. But looking at calls from Phone Guy in the second game can narrow it even farther.

This particular call is a lot of reading to do, but I'm not interested in the entire thing. What I'm interested in is the second half of the call.

At this point in the game it is implied that the Bite of '87 has already occurred and that there's a lot going on trying to sort out the legal issues. What interests me is the fact that to sort out these issues, the owners of the original restaurant. This fact would seemingly point to the idea that it's one of the older animatronics that is the guilty party. So updating our suspect list now we only have 3 possible culprits.

Freddy, Foxy, and Golden Freddy.

The next character we can cross off of our list is Golden Freddy. The reasoning behind this elimination is that Golden Freddy is actually not an animatronic.

And this phone call on night six proves it. Golden Freddy is obviously a yellow colored Freddy suit so it would make sense that this would actually just be a person in the suit. (I have a theory on who it might be and will talk about that next time I go in-depth)

More proof of this point is Golden Freddy's posture when he appears in the office. He's slumped over, and very limp. Almost like a dead body. Taking info from Five Nights 3, we know there are two special animatronics that double as suits, utilizing spring locks to keep the animatronic parts out of the way. I've come to the conclusion that Springtrap is actually the spring lock suit of Bonnie which means that Golden Freddy would likely be the second. It makes sense that these two would be the spring lock suits because they're both a yellowish gold rather than what we know as the normal color for them, because these two we're actually made at the same time. So Golden Freddy is actually a dead body, killed by faulty spring locks, and also a decommissioned animatronic that shouldn't be able to escape a secret boarded up room inside of the pizzeria.

This leaves Freddy and Foxy as our two main suspects. I went back to the first Five Nights game to see if I could dig up an clues in the phone calls or even the animatronics themselves but no such luck. Truth be told, I realized that the animatronics in the first Five Nights actually are not the same ones that are in Five Nights 2. The main difference I notices was that in the first game, you can't see the endoskeleton's teeth. So with no direct clues left in the games I did some more research on that first phone call. Mainly, this exact line.
From this one statement we can tell that whoever was attacked, lived and lost a majority of their frontal lobe. So I went and looked up relative lobe sizes.

This picture here is the best that I found and sheds a lot of light on the capabilities our attacker must have had.

The frontal lobe takes up the front of the brain (DUH!) but more than that, it goes halfway back into the head. And to warrant the comment above, again, a majority of that lobe must have been taken off. And this leads us to the conclusion that our attacker had to have a mouth long enough to allow for a 5 inch long bite.

With my estimation for Freddy's snout around 3 or 4 inches long, while he would be able to do a lot of damage, he would not be able to completely remove the frontal lobe. Besides, with his flat teeth, he would crush the frontal lobe more than separate it, so we can eliminate Freddy.

That leaves us with only one final suspect for the Bite of '87. The pirate. Foxy the animatronic pirate finally lost it and bit some's face off. He could separate the frontal lobe as well, with my estimation for his snout being around 7 inches long, and his sharp, canine-like teeth it would have been easy for him.

So while it may be Five Nights at Freddy's, it turns out that Foxy is the real murderous villain of them all. The rest of them are just wannabes.

Well this has been another in-depth game analysis, I'd love to hear about your proof for or against what I said. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!

Five Nights' Timeline

I'm going to start with a blatant exclamation.
I HAVE NO CLUE! Feel free to quote me if you want, or better yet, prove me wrong, but unless I say it is true, do not take what I say as fact. It is merely me theorizing.

This is the timeline progression of the games, in other words this is the games in order of when they happened. And this is a fact. Five Nights 2 happened first, being set in 1987 which you can clearly see on the check you get at the end of night five.

Now we get into the parts that are possibly, or probably true, but might not be.

Next in the timeline is the first Five Nights. The year is unclear at first glance, but doing a little digging can clear things up rather easily.
First off, you can see that you get paid on November Twelfth, but the year is X’ed out. But the second thing you should notice is the amount you’re paid for five days of work. $120, it doesn't seem like much, but with this number we can determine the hourly wage and then figure out a general time that it could take place.

So $120 divided by five days is $24 which then divided by the six hours a day you work is $4. So you’re trying to not get murdered for $4/hr! Seems like pretty good pay huh? Where do I sign up?
..Back on track now, assuming you were being paid at minimum wage, or maybe a little above, we can find the time area in which this likely took place.

Looking at this graph of minimum wage in the US we can see that the minimum wage is $4 roughly between 1990 and 1996.

Now for the second part of the check, the date. We see that the date on the check is November Twelfth and most establishments give paychecks on a Friday so assuming we were paid on a Friday we can figure out the exact year. We know that this happened between 1990 and 1996 so searching through each year we can look for what year(s) November twelfth landed on a Friday. 1993 is the only year that matches that criteria so we can safely assume that the first Five Nights takes place in November of 1993.

However this is not the case. Taking a second look at the second installment, you're paid again on November twelfth. Looking back to November 1987, we see that November Twelve 1987 was actually a Thursday. This makes sense for the game because then the extra sixth night would be taking place on Friday the thirteenth. SpooOOookyYYyyy!

This also tells us that The Fazbear company hands out paychecks on Thursdays rather than Fridays and if they continued that trend all the way until the time that the first installment is happening then that changes our date. Instead of looking for when November twelfth is a Friday, we're looking for when November twelfth is a Thursday and re-checking the calendar we find that 1992 is when November twelfth was a Thursday and is the only year in our window that this happened. Therefore it is more likely that the first installment happened in 1992.

Now to figure out when the third installment takes place. Just a warning, at the moment I don't have a lot of solid info so there will be a lot of assuming and I might be completely wrong.

On December sixth of 2014, Scott the creator of the games, released this picture. There is absolutely nothing visible in the picture that gives us any clue about when Five Nights 3 takes place but in the base code of the picture, the phrase "30 Years Later" appears, which seemingly implies that the third installment takes place after either the first or second installments. This means that Five Nights 3 takes place in either 2017, or 2022. But can we possibly tell which one?

I say yes we can! ...maybe..if you don't mind some more assuming and speculations. Looking at the newspaper that appears when you start the game, we're shown that an amusement park is opening a horror attraction based on Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Since both Five Nights 1 and 2 took place in a Pizzeria this statement doesn't help us. But what does is the last sentence. "...this attraction is guaranteed to bring back your childhood in the worst way possible." The keyword being "childhood." This attraction is being aimed towards people who went to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza as a child. We'll assume the age group of kids going to Freddy's is 2-9 years old, which is the age group for kids going to Chuck E. Cheese as well.

Based on this idea, it seems more logical that Five Nights 3 takes place in 2017. Here's why:
Horror attractions are aimed towards adrenaline junkies, normally younger people. Young adults and teenagers mostly. Now, if Five Nights 3 takes place in 2017 then the kids who went to Freddy's during 1987 (Five Nights 2) would be between 32 and 39 years old now. That seems a bit old to be an adrenaline junkie and horror fanatic. You never know, but it seems unlikely.

However kids who went to Freddy's in 1992 (The original Five Nights) would be between 27 and 34. While this age group does overlap with the other age group, notice that the second group, at its youngest is in it's mid 20's. It seems a lot more likely to me that a 27 year old would visit a horror attraction than a 36 year old. Unfortunately that's all the proof I have at the moment but I think I made a pretty logical argument.

So to recap, the Five Nights timeline is:
Five Nights 2 (November 1987) then Five Nights 1 (November 1992) and finally Five Nights 3 (2017)

If you have any proof to back me up further, or any proof against anything I've said, feel free to comment on this post! I'd love to hear about it!

Also I'm thinking of doing more posts like this in the future, let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!

Too scared to even play it...brave beware, you're in for a scare.

Hey there, welcome to another Mythical Review. This time we delve deep into the dark pit of horror and jump scares. Should be fun! ...as long as I'm not the guinea pig, which I'm actually not this time! YAY!

I get panicky very easily while playing horror games, it's just who I am. And I know it's hilarious to watch me get panicky which is why I'll play them once I set up my YouTube channel but until then I'll let other people panic in my stead so I don't have a heart attack.

Back to the review now, how many of you people know this adorable cuddle face?
Does it seem familiar? Does it bring back memories of fear and tears? It should, and if it doesn't then it will if you play the game.

This is the face of none other than Freddy Fazbear. The friendly, murderous face of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, which is a digital ripoff of Chuck E. Cheese probably.

The name of the games are all Five Night's at Freddy's and you always play  as a security guard who probably couldn't find any jobs other than to sit and watch some really creepy animatronics who will actually end up trying to tear your face off.

..actually they try to stuff you into an animatronic suit. They try to stuff you into an animatronic suit that probably already has an animatronic skeleton inside of it which doesn't leave much room for you. Who am I kidding? It doesn't leave any room you you. You die.

There are already three installments of this game, each expanding on a story line that's been in place since the first game which I think is great. This game isn't just about making you wet yourself (which I totally did not do, just saying) this game also makes a point of giving the player, or watcher in my case since I only watched Markiplier playing through the game, but it gives them a story line to try and figure out exactly what the truth is behind these murderous mechanical machinations from the deepest pits of hell. (try saying that five times fast, I did and it didn't work well)

The jump scares are on point, some of the best jump scares I've seen in a horror game yet, and they get better as the series progresses. And there actually is a feeling of panic as you're playing. I played the second installment, or at least part of it, and my heart was pounding out of my chest every second of playing. It was amazing. Although I refuse to play it again, alone, without a camera pointed towards my face.

So in the end I give Freddy Fazbear a five out of Five Nights. (CLEVER PUN! WOOHOO!) Go check it out and try not to accidentally soil your pants.

Spore, monster maker.

I'm gonna start this one right away by stating something about this game that makes it a whole lot better. Play it with people you can joke around with. It is a one player game but it makes it so much better to have someone around that you can laugh with about what is happening. And with that I'll jump right into the review.

Hello and welcome to this Mythical Review. I'm MythOfAchilles and if this is your first time here then welcome! I hope you stick around, maybe join the party. It's lots of fun. If you're a returning reader then tell the newcomers how fun the party is here!
...focus, this isn't at all what I'm here to talk about..
Back on track now!

Today I'm reviewing a game called Spore. It is a very interesting game, similar in a way to a game I've previously reviewed, Robocraft.
What you do is build yourself a creature, then eat stuff to grow. You can either eat other creatures and make them fear you (my personal favorite) or you can eat grassy greens. (Booorrrring) As you grow you gain different attributes just like an evolving species and you can remake your creature (or when I play, abomination) as often as you'd like up until a certain point in the evolutionary chain.
Unfortunately the most online interaction between players is that they can share what their creatures and other builds look like, but that's it. And that's why it's fun to play with other people around. My favorite thing to do is to make one of my abominations and call my brother over. Once I make a creature with legs instead of ears and no arms and it walked upright, and when my brother saw it he just shouted, "What's wrong with it?!" I'd show you a picture of the creature but I unfortunately don't have the pictures anymore.
So you've heard my only negative about the game, the lack of online interactions, but overall it is a great and hilarious game about evolution and protecting your species. And some really funny stories can be made from playing with friends. So if you're bored on a Saturday afternoon or something, it'd be worth your time to download Spore and just give it a try.

Story time? ...maybe.

Hullo people!

No, there isn't a game called "Story time." Actually I have no idea. There might be. That could be a pretty awesome game! I'll have to look into it. But back to the point, I'm not actually reviewing a game today. Today I'm actually recruiting you all to help me! I want this to be an interactive blog.

So with that in mind and keeping to the theme of video games I want your stories! Maybe something funny happened while you were playing a MMO game. Or maybe something scared you in a game that was meant to make you laugh. Or maybe you just have an epic story to tell. I want your stories!

They can be real, or made up. (But please no creepypastas. If I wanted those I could find them myself.) By made up I mean maybe there's a character in a game that you really like so you write a story with them as the main character. Whatever floats your goat really.

Just like this really.

....I just really love this picture, but can you blame me?

Anywho, yeah so I'll contribute my own stories sometimes but I want your stories too! So feel free to contact me on instagram @mythofachillegram or just leave a comment on one of my posts!

Thanks for reading and until next time, keep trying to be as cool as this goat.

Impressed with Ingress

Call this a cop out if you must but this is actually a game I've been playing for about a year and a half now.

It's called Ingress and it is perhaps one of the most unique games I have ever played. There's an elaborate back-story that I know almost nothing about but If you like playing RPG games for the lore then you have that. But my favorite thing about it is the technology that it uses.

DISCLAIMER: This is a mobile game. It can only be played on mobile devices. Emulators will work, maybe, but not well.

The reason this is strictly a mobile game is also because of the technology that this uses. This game taps into your phone's GPS location to play. And I'll get back to this later.

The idea of this game is basically capture the flag, mixed in with squares. Do you remember squares? It was a game where you would connect dots and if you made a square then you would get one point. It looked something like this...
And the red square is one point to the red player.

Are you understanding at all?
I know, it is pretty confusing to hear about. So let me just keep rambling about this game.

The game uses your GPS to make the entire world into the game board with specific locations that act as flags to be captured and dots to connect and these specific locations can be anything of historical or societal value like statues, libraries, museums, etc.

I'm not really doing the game justice to just ramble on about it confusingly so just take my word for it that it is a very fun game and the best part is the to play, you don't stay in your room staring at a glowing computer monitor, you actually need to go out and move.

I would definitely recommend that people at least try this game out. No matter where you live it's a lot of fun.

Well this has been another Mythical review, thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!
